The midi
playing is called "Daddy's Little Girl."
I would always play it on the jukebox at a hot dog stand
my uncle took me to as a little girl.

This
picture was taken of Jeremy and his
Grandpa in February
1987 in Florida.
Jeremy was 4 at the time.
He thought his Grandpa was the
most wonderful and kind soul in the world.
He was quite smart at 4!!! |
After
my Mom died, I had the wonderful luck of being able
to live with my aunt and uncle, Kate and Les Graham.
My uncle became my "Pa" almost immediately. He was
always my biggest fan, giving me support and
encouragement in everything I ever attempted.

I
made this little lighthouse in his memory. I tried
to make it to look as much like the Portland Head
Lighthouse as I could :) |

He was a
very quiet man, but had a wonderful and dry sense of
humor that would always catch you off guard. I respected
him intensely and even though as a teenager I did not
always follow his advice, I can now look back and know
that whatever he said made perfect sense! I also know
that even when I am sure I disappointed him or even hurt
him, he always forgave me and loved me unconditionally.
Pa, I miss you with my heart and soul!
As I think
of my Momma every time I see a bluebird, I do the same
with "Pa" whenever I see a lighthouse. I remember
visiting the Portland, Maine lighthouse when I was a
little girl. I asked him why anyone would build a tall
skinny house on a bunch of rocks near the water like
that. He explained the importance of the lighthouse and
how the light keeper would lead the ships to safety in
the dark and stormy nights. I remember thinking that he
had to be the smartest man in the world to know this!!!
I look back and know he was just like that light keeper,
keeping me safe! And I know that he always will!
Even though
I've lost these very important people in my life, I also
know that I will always have
"my little bluebird sitting atop my lighthouse"
to watch over me and everyone important in my life!
Thank you, God, for letting me borrow them
for just a little while!
