I had a
co-worker, Becky, who sent me a very special email at
the beginning of my workday on February 11, 2004. It
touched my heart that she thought of me in what I
consider a very special way. Please read her little
story.

I have a scrawny little tulip tree in my
front yard. On this sad little tree is a
dead branch that sticks straight out.
Murph wouldn't let me chop it off
because his mom always had a wren house
hanging there (never any wrens - just
the house). Last summer we noticed a
bluebird trying to get into the tiny
hole in the wren house, so Murph got
instructions from the Internet and built
a bluebird house and hung it on the tree
and took the wren house down. A pair of
bluebirds soon moved in.
Mid-summer our daughter brought 3
kittens to us thinking we could use some
barn cats. The bluebirds didn't like
them at all and they left. We live on
State Route ** and needless to say, the
kittens never saw the fall.
Last Thursday evening, about sundown,
Murph spotted a bird in the tulip tree,
and sure enough upon further review, we
determined it was a bluebird.
This morning as I was leaving home,
there on the dead branch of the scrawny
tulip tree, sat 3 fat little papa
bluebirds all in a row weighing down the
branch.
Isn't that much more exciting than any
ole robins? That's why I thought of you.
Hope you have a great day!

Becky, thank you from the bottom of my heart. you
definitely made my day a GREAT day! Thank you, Murph,
for allowing these beautiful little birds take over
your mom's scrawny tulip tree and thank you, Becky,
for sharing this great story with me. When you watch
the bluebirds, think of me, but more importantly,
think of my Momma watching over you too - she does
that for me - watches over my dear friends - in the
form of a bluebird.
For
anyone not knowing my "bluebird story" go
here.
God
bless!
